Find out who is calling..

What good is a phone with a display feature when you don`t really know that number in that display? Well, that`s what we have been getting these days. Annoying calls from numbers we don`t know. I mean, yeah, we can just ignore those calls until they go away. But still, it drives you crazy listening to the rings almost everyday. Now I can do something about it. I could actually report those numbers to this site,www.reportphonenumbers.com this site allows you to comment about calls from certain numbers and let other users know what to expect from that number. This is an interesting idea.

Know the signs

My dad had a stroke a couple of months ago. Learning the signs of stroke is very crucial, as it will/does saves the life of that person. He came home early that morning because he did not feel good. He complained to his friend at work that he is feeling dizzy and that he would just go home and sleep it off. He was granted to go home by his supervisor. He went on a 20-minute bus ride home, and I saw him walking slowly towards the door, I was on my way out. When he started to answer my question on why he was early, I immediately knew he just had a stroke. I urge him to get into my car and I drove him to the emergency, where they confirmed it. It was mild stroke, to be taken seriously. It affected only the side of his face. Not the whole body, he was lucky he got a second chance.

STROKE: Remember

The first Three Letters.... S.T.R.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stoke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally . He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read
and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

1.  S * - Ask the individual  to SMILE.

2. T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today)

3. R * Ask him or her  to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks,

call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out

his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the

other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

Wanna find someone?

If you have reason to locate a federal prison inmate, then you will find the prisoninmatelocator.org website interesting. There are lots of reasons why a person might need this information, for instance, say you are in Kentucky, and trying to trace someone for child support, and suspect that they might be a federal inmate, then you can do a Kentucky inmate search at prisoninmatelocator.org

Got him alone..

  • Mood:

This was taken yesterday. It was nice to get out with hubby alone. I got my son agreed to stay with my parents so hubby and I was able to sneaked out....that's one of the good things of having relatives around, you can ask them to babysit once in a while. We decided to go and check out the city particularly marinas. Hubby wants to see and learn more about boating, specifically, sailing. Yes, he would love to sail the waters someday.
