My Hubby is always reminding me to back up any photos I have saved in the computer. But I don't! He has a separate hard drive, and copies my complete folders from time to time. Really, any file that we create, such as a picture, or maybe a movie clip, we can save it any way we want, and easily make copies. It is less easy with files that have been created by others. Take those online movie files, they often can be played, yet not easily saved and therefore backed up. They are often a format known as .swf - shockwave files. They are generally used for display graphics and are often set up in a manner that prevents straightforward backup, and so a program, or application as they call it, that is an
swf file editor, is required. This particular format is one of the most interesting, as it involves moving pictures and graphics. It is able to be seen by the user because of what are called 'plug-ins', which are little programs, generally downloaded and automatically set up, that add to the capabilities of the internet browser being used. At backupanswers.com they are dedicated to give the information that you might find useful and at the very least interesting whatever your particular level of computer knowledge or interest.
It is interesting how depending on the type of tree, the leaves change color at different times. Here in Canada, we have a lot of Maple trees, and as the leaves die, they change to a yellow, or deep red. Then at some point we get strong winds, normally from the tail end of a Florida hurricane, and that is the end of the leaves for another few months.
It is really different than a tropical climate, where the growing seems more continuous, and as fast as leaves fall, other replace them.
