It took me about 2 hours to drive home from my folks house in the city today. There was a major storm, lots of snow blowing across the highway. Then while I was there, it turned to rain. So that made lots of slush, and as I drove back, heading north and away from the coast, it got colder, and the slush became ice. They are not able to spread salt in those conditions as there is too much snow blowing, so it was quite a journey!
