I figured that when Hubby came home and proudly announced he had a great deal on a car, that he would be getting a car that he didn't have to spend hours working on. But that is not what has happened! He buys the car, a 2002 Hyundai, for $1500 and his old $800 car, for a total of $2300 and then is spending every day fixing it. It is amazing how much he can find wrong with it. He says it was cheap because it is getting old, but my pride and joy Jeep Grand Cherokee is a year older! Anyway, here is the list:
Polish headlight plastic lenses with special kit.
Adjust rear brake one side, and fit handbrake cable.
Adjust the other side brake, and find it filled with oil.
Buy new rear brake shoes, and 'wheel cylinder' whatever that is.
Fit the wheel cylinder and shoes.
Find that the other side now leaks oil!
Buy new wheel cylinder and fit it.
And today, he announced that he has some minor rust spots under the doors to fix. I think he might have too much time on his hands, but at least I get to drive a car that has had the work done at a great price! And it is a better hobby for him to have than womanizing!
